Jason Calacanis Left AOL!?

Jason Calacanis

Jonathan Miller, former AOL CEO is replaced by former NBC high level executive. Jason Calacanis wrote about that on his blog and called Miller as “one of his few mentors”. Jason Calacanis joined AOL around 18 months ago when his company Weblogs, Inc. was bought. Recently, he was named as GM of Netscape with the strategy to make an equivalent Digg competitor.

I’ve just read that Jason Calanis left from AOL because Jon Miller was replaced. Many people don’t like Jason and his views especially one of his latest advise that Wikipedia should place a leatherboard ad and to donate that money to poor and sick children in Africa. However, nobody can deny that Jason Calacanis is a person with great energy and that he is one of the most powerful Internet entrepreneurs.

If Jason really left AOL because of Jonathan’s departure I respect him even more.

Keep up the good work, Jason!
