Web 2.0 Summit Launchpad

Posted by: dejan | Comments (0)

Those of you who are at Web 2.0 Summit I don’t have to explain to that this is the premier Internet conference in the world. Web 2.0 Summit started yesterday. Organizers decided to rename it to Web 2.0 Summit (previous name was Web 2.0 Conference). Conference ticket is around 3000 USD and even if you have that money to pay for a ticket it doesn’t mean that you will actually be there. It is an invitation only conference so people have submit request for the invitation. On the conference you can listen to speakers like Marissa Mayer, Google VP, Jeff Bezos, Amazon CEO, Barry Diller IAC CEO, Kevin Rose from Digg, David Filo from Yahoo! and other high profiled names.

One of the most interesting part of this event is called Launchpad, interesting especially for investors. There were 13 companies that presented their services and each had 5 minutes. Services like In the chair, instructables, Klostu, Sharpcast, Stikki, Turn, Sphere, Omnidrive, Adify, 3B, oDesk, Venyo, TimeBridge. Here you can find more info about those companies.

Back from Slovenia!

Posted by: dejan | Comments (0)

Hey emarketing fans, several days ago I came back from PRO PR conference that was held in beautiful spa centre in Rogaska Slatina, Slovenia.

Slovenia is a very beatiful and clean country and Rogaska Slatina is excellent spa resort. PRO PR conference was about different aspects of PR industry like secrets of PR managers on TV, lobbying or public affairs, creating a communication plan…But the most important thing of every conference is meeting new, interesting people. I met many interesting people there and I guess that with some of the I’m going to cooperate in the future.

I was on the roundtable where we discussed about Media in Serbia. Of course, I was talking about the Internet as the media because I’m web manager of the most visited web site in Serbia. Interesting workshop was about lobbying and public affairs. It is hard to draw a line between PR and lobbying and many people don’t like that word lobbying because it is associated with corruption. I learnt something new. In EU, costs for drink, launches, gifts, that are below 70 euro per person aren’t considered as a corruption. Everything higher smells like a corruption.

PR is very important part of every organization that wants to be successful. One of the most popular PR agencies in the world Mccann Erickson says that PR is “Truth well told”. It is not far from the truth.

Football Arena

Everyone is talking about football these days. Who is gonna be the new football champion? Italy or France? I would like that France be no1. because they were not favorites on bookmakers lists.

If you are football fan I suggest you to start playing excellent multiplayer, Java-based game called Football Arena. It is a football chess, you can even chat with your opponent.

Click here to play free Football Arena game.
