YouTube - A Google company!

Google YouTube

Now, I can officially say that Google bought YouTube for 1.65 billion dollars! Wow! Much money for a service that is yet-to-be profitable and I think it won’t be profitable anytime soon. It is like in the best days of Bubble 1.0 It seems that now it is Bubble 2.0 time. I think that this price is way too much for YouTube but Google stocks are also over-priced so they can buy over-priced services. It seems that Rupert Murdoch didn’t pay too much for Myspace, after all.

Happy Birthday Google!

Posted by: dejan | Comments (0)

It seems that there is no exact date for Google birthday but if you visit Google you will see their logo with cake and number 8 :).

I wonder if Google really knows exact date of their birthday. Before, they wrote on their web site that Google was officially launched on September 7, 1998 but now they use 27th as a date for their birthday.

Is that another buzz creator :)?

Happy Birthday Google!

Google And Adsense Limit

Posted by: dejan | Comments (0)

Google

Do you have a referral button for Google Adsense on your web site? Then read further. If you tought that you will earn $100 every time you send Google one more Adsense partner and when they earn $100 you are wrong!

You saw this in your referral code:

“When a publisher that signed up for AdSense through your referral earns their initial $100.00 and is eligible for payout, we’ll credit your account with $100.00. *”

However, did you see this:

“* An AdSense referral is counted when a publisher, who has never previously enrolled in AdSense, creates an account and earns at least $100.00 within 90 days of sign-up. The referred publisher must be eligible for payment to qualify as a successful referral.”

With this new Google policy not many people will get their well deserved $100. Let’s face it. How many web sites earn $100 for 90 days via AdSense? Even some of high-profiled bloggers claim that they earn $100 per year!?
