Once a well-known media company, very focused on Internet related things, Jupitermedia is lately focused only on one business – images. That’s why they sold their Jupiter Research to get more money for their images business. They sold Jupiter Research for around $10 million and they bought that company for $250,000 four years ago. Nice deal. Don’t forget that they still have great web sites like internet.com

Several days ago Flickr, world’s most popular photo community, announced that there are more than 100 million uploaded photos! Wow, that is really great! Yahoo! made a great deal with buying them and Flickr investors made even better.

If you think that it isn’t possible, it is – at least on the Internet. FON, global community of people who share WiFi bandwidth raised 18m Euros from companies like Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, Google and Skype. They started 90 days ago.
